Mrs. Massachusetts Meatloaf

Jenny chose to make a meatloaf with peas and carrots for the main course and a pineapple upside down cake for dessert. She said that my dad and brother ate meatloaf for about a month straight while she perfected the timing.
The recipe (with a few changes) is stilled enjoyed 59 years later.
Great recipe for the cold weather. I hope you try it and let me know how you like it.

Mrs Massachusetts Meatloaf

2/3 cup seasoned bread crumbs (I use Progresso Italian)
1 cup milk
1 1/2 lbs ground beef
2 beaten eggs
1/2 teasp salt
1/8 teasp pepper
1/2 teasp ground sage

Soak crumbs in milk, wait until crumbs soak up all the milk. (I do all of the this in my Kitchenaid mixer)
Add meat, eggs & seasonings-mix well. Put into a glass loaf pan.
Top with Piquant Sauce

Piquant Sauce

3 tablespoons brown sugar
1/2 teasp nutmeg
1 teaspoon dry mustard
1/4 cup ketchup
Mix together & spread on meatloaf before baking

Bake at 350 degrees for one hour
